MIEL ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This page explains what information mielswim.com collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this simple because we collect very little.
What we collect
MIEL is a pre-launch site. There is no checkout, no account creation, and no payment processing yet. The only information we ask for is collected through the "join the waitlist" email form in the footer:
- The email address you enter.
- The date and time you signed up.
- Basic referral information, such as which page or link sent you to us, so we can tell which channels are working.
We do not have a booking system. If MIEL ever adds appointments, fittings, or another form that collects personal information, this page will be updated first to describe what that form collects.
Your shopping cart is stored only in your own browser (using localStorage) so your selections persist between visits. It is never sent to our servers and we cannot see its contents.
How we use it
We use your email address to notify you when collection one launches and to send occasional updates about MIEL. We do not sell or rent your email address to anyone.
Who we share it with
Your signup is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. If we have an active email marketing account configured, your email address is also forwarded to Klaviyo, the platform we use to send updates. Both providers process this data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.
Cookies and tracking
MIEL does not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies at this time. The only browser storage we use is the localStorage entry that holds your cart, described above.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist signups until collection one has launched and our email updates have run their course, or until you ask us to remove your information, whichever comes first.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time, and you can unsubscribe from any email using the link in that email. To make a request, email us at [email protected].
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
