Why MIEL exists

MIEL is lived-in femininity.

A love letter to myself, Mia,

and to my daughter, Elle.

Becoming a mother and still wanting to be fully yourself can be isolating. I wanted to dress my daughter with the same care and intention I dress myself, and found that chic, elevated swim for both of us barely existed. Femininity and motherhood coexist in a beautiful way. This brand honors our daughters, who are watching how we hold ourselves in the world.

skin, sun, nothing else

Suits that let the body be the body. Soft lines, natural curves, made to move in, not to pose in.

the art of ease

Oversized linen, bare feet, hair the way it woke up. Effortless, because nothing is performed.

The words 'you are my honey' written in honey

a mother, a daughter, and one word between them.
miel - french for honey.

The name

you are
my honey.

MIEL began as a nickname before it was a brand, the word Mia says to Elle, and the word that happens when their names meet. It is warmth you can keep, sweetness without sugar, gold that moves slowly.

From Mia

Our daughters are watching how we hold ourselves in the world.

Having a daughter changes how you hold yourself. You start to notice what you model: how you talk about your body, how you dress it, how you love it.

MIEL is built inside that awareness. It is the brand I want my daughter to grow up knowing existed. The MIEL woman doesn't try. She has excellent taste and doesn't perform it. Quality. Simplicity. Comfort.
